The Lowell Girl Scout troop is now selling candy, nuts and magazines (new or renew old). If anyone is interested, call Debbie Lynchard and she can set you up with a girl scout. Or, you can come to a girl scout meeting on Thursday nights at the Lowell Grange where she will have order forms. Sales go through October 13. On Saturday, Sept. 14th we’ll be serving hamburgers and hot dogs and desserts from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Live music will be performed from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m., then the Boy Scouts’ movie night will feature Star Trek (PG-13) at 7:00 p.m.
Then Sunday, Sept. 15th, Grange members will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs and desserts again from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Raffle Drawing for a weekend at a wonderful cabin will be done at noon, so please get your tickets. The raffle is being held to raise funds for new gravel in the Grange parking lot. At 1:00 p.m. former students of the Lowell School before it was the Grange will share memories from those days; Chapmans’ Barbershop Quartet will sing at 1:30 p.m.; Maggie Osgood will have a Powerpoint presentation about the Grange building’s history at 2:00 p.m.; and Al Orton’s One Man Band will follow the presentation and play until 5:00 p.m.
All events are FREE and everyone is welcome. The Lowell Grange is located at 51 East 2nd Street in Lowell.
